But sometimes, the Boston-based label goes back to basics and releases a pack all their own. As if the foundation for the New Balance "Protection Pack" had already been laid, these three sneakers take inspiration from the capsule and its buttery soft upper. Multi-layer suede panels cover the lightweight mesh base, exposing only a few spots. The toebox is only slightly revealed, while the other outlined parts follow the same deconstructed style with graduated earth tones.
Unlike the other sneakers, the "Phantom" belongs to the darkest version. The logos, suede and mesh materials, as well as other details are almost entirely black, with a rough sole contrasting slightly with the upper image of grey stripes and circles. Unless the rough design puts you off, take a look at the sole with the comfortable ABZORB midsoles and N-ergy outsoles for that ultimate running experience.
