Levi's, Jaden Smith, Casablanca, Salehe Bembury... New Balance's list of collaborators is quite long, and we're likely to witness many more. But sometimes, the Boston-based label goes back to basics and releases a pack all their own. Their new project is called "Protection Pack" and includes a total of three deconstructed New Balance 2002Rs. Get the details on the drop here.

As if the foundation for the New Balance "Protection Pack" had already been laid, these three sneakers take inspiration from the capsule and its buttery soft upper. Multi-layer suede panels cover the lightweight mesh base, exposing only a few spots. The toebox is only slightly revealed, while the other outlined parts follow the same deconstructed style with graduated earth tones.

Are the "Phantom" and the "Rain Cloud" too wild for you? Then check out the other version from the three-piece pack. This "Sea Salt" colourway offers you a light suede and mesh upper. The logos and soles have also been colour matched, with red insignia having a mind of its own and stealing the show. Unless you're put off by the rough design, take a look at the sole with the comfortable ABZORB midsoles and N-ergy outsoles for that ultimate running experience.
